"our own life has to be our message..."
-Thich Nhat Hanh
Tam often asks students, “who are you” not your name, your job or your hobbies but what are the three words that authentically describe you and the way you live your life journey? Kindness, compassion and integrity are the aspects of Tam that guide the life she lives and the way she teaches. Tam's experiences across decades of her life as a student, equestrian, retail executive, yoga instructor, teacher trainer and yoga therapist, coupled with the emotions and challenges she faced with work, family and health allow her to meet you where you are.
The yoga practice is where her personal dialogue with you begins. Her own life experiences and skills fuel her unique ability to be compassionate to your life experience and design a practice especially for you.
Tam Terry, C-IAYT, E-RYT500, YACEP is a graduate, mentor and faculty member of the Kripalu Schools Adaptive Yoga and Kripalu School of Integrative Yoga Therapy. She is also a Qualified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Instructor through Brown University Center for Mindfulness.
